An Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that measures electrical activity in the brain using biosensors that easily and comfortably attach to the scalp in order to establish the signal. Brain cells communicate via electrical impulses, and this activity shows up as wavy lines on an EEG recording.
An Event-Related Potential (ERP) measures and records a Patient’s response to a set/sequence of auditory stimuli as a means of eliciting and evaluating specific cognitive activity and performance. The resultant ERP waves reflect physiological measures of vital cognitive processes - such as attention and working memory.
